QUERY

A three-year old boy is witness to the murder of his parents, five sisters, and three brothers in the mountains of North Carolina. – Murders which were brought by a relative’s theft from a Mexican gang.

As the boy grows into a successful young man, he marries his childhood sweetheart.  Together they search for the killers determined to bring them, especially the leader to justice.  Their search not only leads them across the United States, but also to Mexico and Bogota, Colombia.

The novel, both a love story and a murder mystery, covers the serene and historical life style of Appalachia, beginning in the 1940s.

It captures the personal, colorful life of this couple; their falling in love, building a career, traveling, and searching for the killers. It is a search full of intrigue that keeps the reader wondering and turning pages, while at the same time telling of a personal journey with the plot holding the local color together.
